2026 Feature Boats

Helen Mary R

This vessel is the 2026 ASTO/MCA Sail Training Vessel of the Year and is also celebrating her 40th anniversary. Throughout her lifetime, she has sailed over 100,000 miles and introduced more than 6,000 young people to the sea. Come aboard to discover how Sail Training transforms lives, meet the crew, and learn how the Morvargh Sailing Project is using Sail Training to inspire and change lives through offshore sailing adventures.

Tectona

Brought by Sailing Tectona, a charity supporting young people and people recovering from mental health challenges and addiction, visitors can step aboard Tectona – a stunning 20m gaff ketch built entirely of teak on a beach in India in 1928. Through traditional sailing voyages, the charity helps build confidence, resilience and wellbeing.

Boleh

Boleh is a remarkable 40ft, 18-tonne sailing vessel built by Malay shipwrights in Singapore in 1949. Combining traditional junk and dhow design, she completed a 16,000-mile voyage to the UK on her maiden journey. Today, the Boleh Trust uses Boleh to help people facing challenges build confidence, connection and wellbeing through time on the water.

Revolution

This spectacular 50ft Victory Class 1 offshore racing catamaran weighs in at 5,200kg and is powered by twin Sterling ProCharged V8 engines producing 1,085hp each. Formerly raced as Negotiator and King of Shaves by Chris Parsonage in the UIM Class 1 series, the boat has an impressive history in international Class 1 competition.

Batboat.UK

This iconic 28ft Ocke Mannerfelt Bat Boat was first seen debuting at the Miami Boat Show in 1994 and was introduced to the UK in the late 90’s as ‘Wing & a Prayer’. The B-28 Bat Boat hull design was incredibly dominant globally, securing three consecutive UIM World Offshore Racing Championships right after its introduction. Now owned by Drew Langdon and renamed ‘BatBoat.uk’ the boat has kept its original eye-catching paintwork recognised across the world.

Barracuda

Representing the world's largest yacht owners' association, with around 3,000 members, the not-for-profit Westerly Owners' Association is run by owners for owners. Their attraction boat, Barracuda, is a Westerly Storm 33 designed by Ed Dubois, combining race-winning performance with cruising comfort and still sailed extensively across the UK and Europe.

Clipper RX

Be among the first to step aboard the brand-new Clipper RX, the next generation of ocean racing yacht built for the legendary Clipper Round the World Yacht Race. Developed using 30 years of race experience and insights from more than 7,000 crew members, the new 72ft design will take on the world's toughest oceans. Experience Clipper RX for yourself with Try-a-Boat at 1pm on both Saturdays and Sundays of the show.

Shannon Class Lifeboat

This year's Charity of the Year, the RNLI, will showcase its Shannon all-weather lifeboat. Capable of 25 knots and powered by twin 650hp Scania engines, the Shannon is the first modern RNLI all-weather lifeboat to use waterjets instead of propellers, delivering exceptional agility. Her specially designed hull and shock-absorbing seats help keep crews safe in the toughest conditions.

Atlantic 85 MK 4

Meet the RNLI's new Atlantic 85 Mk4. As the Southampton International Boat Show's 2026 Charity of the Year, the RNLI is showcasing the next generation of inshore lifeboat, featuring the latest Raymarine navigation and communication technology to support lifesaving operations close to shore.

Sea Scamp

Built in 1936 for the German Luftwaffe, Sea Scamp is a classic Bermudan sloop with a remarkable history. After arriving in the UK in 1945, she was raced by the Royal Marines and later served as a training vessel for the Royal Navy and Sea Scouts. Today, she is cared for by the 110-member Sea Scamp Syndicate and is National Historic Ships UK's 2026 Flagship of the Year.

Guide of Dunkirk

Commissioned for the Girl Guides in 1939 before being requisitioned for the Dunkirk evacuation, this historic vessel is now the focus of a unique restoration project led by Abbey Boat Builder. Visitors can see it up close on the marina as part of the Wooden Boat Stage Afloat.

Apache 555

The iconic 1970s offshore racing boat is making a comeback in 2026. Boatbuilder and influencer Dan Lee is part of the restoration team and will also host a special panel on the second Sunday of the show with members of the original racing crew. Visitors can see this icon up close on the marina as part of the Wooden Boat Stage Afloat.

Larry

Built in 1907, this gaff cutter belongs to writer and illustrator Hannah Stowe and has recently returned from a voyage to Ireland’s west coast, retracing the route of legendary 16th-century seafarer Gráinne (Grace) O’Malley. Visitors can step aboard this stunning sailing vessel as part of the Wooden Boat Stage Afloat.

Gelyce

Gelyce was built by Camper & Nicholsons at Gosport in 1930. J-Class tender to Shamrock V, beautifully restored with a stunning 175hp 1960’s Aluminium Rolls Royce engine. Visitors can see it up close on the marina as part of the Wooden Boat Stage Afloat.
Step aboard this exceptional 58ft cruiser stern narrowboat, built by renowned Caldon Boats and beautifully fitted by Straight & Narrowboats. Blending contemporary style with outstanding craftsmanship, it offers luxurious, turnkey accommodation for leisure cruising or extended living. Find it in the Discovering Britain's Inland Waterways area next to the Guinness Bar.
ABC Boat Hire is unveiling its brand-new Plover Class narrowboat at this year's show. Built at Alvechurch Marina in Worcestershire, the 58ft boat sleeps up to six and showcases the quality craftsmanship and practical design behind the UK's largest hire fleet. Visitors will also have the unique opportunity to become its first owner. Find it in the Discovering Britain's Inland Waterways area next to the Guinness Bar.

Figaro Beneteau 3

Owned by renowned British solo offshore sailor Joss Creswell, the Figaro 3 is one of the world's most technically demanding solo offshore racing yachts. This one-design semi-foiling monohull uses innovative foils to reduce drag, improve stability and help sailors push harder for longer, rewarding skill and precision at every turn.

J/80

Fast, responsive and great fun to sail, the UKSA J/80 is one of the world's most successful one-design keelboats. Experience its thrilling performance for yourself with the Try-a-Boat experience, running 18–21 and 25–27 September.

Saluki

The Hunter Association is bringing Saluki, a Hunter Pilot 27, to the show. Built in 1997, the Pilot 27 is a wheelhouse version of the Hunter Ranger 265, featuring raised seating, panoramic visibility and both interior and exterior steering. Around 100 were built, and Saluki is now based in the Solent with her current owner.

Exploring Duo

The Exploring Duo - One couple, 3000 miles, Zero support, One mission. Rowing 3000 miles from La Gomera to Antigua on a 7.5m boat, entirely self sufficient and unsupported. We will be sleeping, eating and rowing on this tiny boat for up to 65 days with only each other for company, all to raise money for three amazing charities; The British Heart Foundation, Calder Valley Search and Rescue, and Seaview Sailing Trust.
